Hockey squad trimmed to 18
DHAKA, June 18, 2019 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) trimmed their preliminary squad for the upcoming Indoor Asia Cup.
After inspecting the training in the preliminary selected 32 players at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan’s gymnasium on Monday, the hockey team’s head coach Hamid Reza Bokharai and five-member selection panel trimmed the squad to 18. The BHF will announce the Thailand bound 12-member final squad later stage as the tournament is scheduled to played from July 15 to July 21.
The 18-member preliminary squad are Shafiul Alam Shishir, Russell Mahmud Jimmy, Nayeem Uddin, Moinul Islam Koushik, Fazle Hossain Rabbi, Asim Gope, Imran Hasan Pintu, Ashraful Islam, Farhad Ahmed Shitul, Khorshedur Rahman, Sarowar Hossain, Abu Sayeed Nippon, Taher Ali, Puskar Khisa Mimo, Roman Sarkar, Milon Hossain, Sohanur Rahman Sobuj and Biplob Kujur
