Switzerland keen to assist BD on taxation system
DHAKA, June 16, 2019 (BSS) – Switzerland has expressed interest to work
closely with Bangladesh for modernisation of its taxation system and
expansion of bilateral trade for the mutual benefits of the two countries.
“Switzerland is one of the major development partners of Bangladesh. We
want to work with the Bangladesh government for modernisation of its taxation
system and expansion of trade,” said Swiss ambassador in Dhaka Rene
Holenstein during a meeting with LGRD and cooperatives minister Md Tajul
Islam at the latter’s office at the secretariat here today.
Appreciating the continued support and cooperation of Switzerland for the
development of Bangladesh, LGRD minister Tajul Islam hoped that Switzerland
would continue its cooperation for the improvement of public health, rural
and urban development of Bangladesh.
