Munnujan off to Geneva
DHAKA, June 15, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Munnujan Sufian left here last night for Geneva to attend the Centenary International Labour Conference.
It is the 108th Session of the International Labour Conference, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the International Labour Organization (ILO), a press release said here today.
The state minister will address the plenary session of the conference on “Future of work” topic on June 17 next.
Lawmakers Israfil Alam and Manu Majumder, Labour and Employment Acting Secretary KM Ali Azam, Additional Secretary Dr Mollah Jalal and other concerned high officials of the ministry will participate the conference.
Besides, president of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Rubana Huq,
Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF) President Kamran T. Rahman and Jatiya Sramik League Executive President Fazlul Haque Montu will join the conference.
The conference will be concluded on June 22.
