Throat-slit body of UBER driver recovered in city
DHAKA, June 14, 2019, (BSS) – Police recovered the throat-slit body of UBER
driver from city’s Uttara area early today.
The deceased was identified as Arman, 37, son of late Abdul Hakim hailed
from Fatemapur village under Ishwardi upazila in Pabna district.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and recovered Arman’s body from a
car run under UBER, a transportation network company offering services that
include peer-to-peer ridesharing, around 1 am, Officer-in-Charge
(Investigation) of Uttara West Police Station Md Abul Kalam told BSS today,
adding that Arman is the driver of the car.
Later, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH)
morgue for an autopsy.
Police are looking into the matter as the procedure of filing a case to
this end is underway, the OC said.
