DHAKA, June 13, 2019 (BSS) – The government has allocated Taka 989 crore
for the Ministry of Information in the proposed budget for the financial year
(FY) 2019-2020.
The allocation is Taka 60 crore higher than the revised budget of the
previous FY 2018-19, which was Taka 929 crore.
The Ministry of Information with the mass communication media outlets like
radio, television, films, press publications, advertising and various other
forms of communication, plays an effective role in helping the people realise
their right to access to information.
The Ministry puts focus on issues of women and children development,
environmental protection, health care and family welfare, eradication of
illiteracy and issues related to women, children and other weaker sections of
the society.
