Sexagenarian killed in Rangpur road accident
RANGPUR, June 12, 2019 (BSS) – A sexagenarian man was killed in a road
accident in front of Taraganj Upazila Health Complex on the Rangpur-Dinajpur
highway under Taraganj upazila in the district today.
The accident occurred when a Dinajpur bound night coach from Dhaka hit
the man there killing him on the spot while he was crossing the road this
morning, police said.
“The deceased was identified as Mohammad Adel Badsha, 60, son of late
Khoyer Ullah of nearby Ghonirampur Dangapara village in Kursha union of
Taraganj upazila,” Officer-in-Charge of Taraganj Highway Thana police
Abdullah Hel Baki told BSS.
“The killer vehicle fled the scene soon after the mishap,” Baki said
adding that none lodged any complain in this connection till 4:40 pm today.
