DHAKA, June 9, 2019 (BSS) – The Jatiya Sangsad (JS) secretariat will launch
budget information help desk on Tuesday to assist the lawmakers for
delivering their address at the first budget session of the 11th parliament.
With the cooperation of Budget Analysis and Monitoring Unit (BAMU), the
parliament secretariat will set up the desk at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban,
said an official release today.
The secretariat has taken the initiative for providing assistance to the
lawmakers for delivering their address on the budget issues, it said.
The lawmakers can collect important information from the help desk before
addressing the session.
“The budget help desk will play an important role in delivering informative,
constructive and lively speech that to be presented by the lawmakers,” the
release added.
The budget session will begin on June 11.
It would be the third session of the 11th parliament and first one of the
Awami League government which assumed office after a landslide victory
through the December 30, 2018 national election.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal will place the national budget for 2019-
20 fiscal in the House on June 13, said a spokesman of the parliament
secretariat.
