People start returning to Dhaka after Eid
DHAKA, June 07, 2019(BSS) – People started returning to the capital after celebrating the holy Eid-ul-Fitr with their dear and near ones in different parts of the country.
They are arriving in the city by bus, train and launch while those who came to Dhaka to observe the Eid with their relatives in the capital have started to leave as well.
Although the Eid vacation officially ended on Thursday, many people still get the chance of enjoying the vacation as the next two days – Friday and Saturday – are weekly holidays.
More than 100 launches left the Sadarghat terminal in two days, which are expected to return with huge passengers, according to Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) sources.
Transport authorities said they are now getting huge Dhaka- bound passengers, but the passengers leaving Dhaka are a few. Bangladesh Railway sources said the trains are active and touching many stations for the huge number of passengers so that they can reach their desired destinations.
In Dhaka, the people are yet going to their relatives’ homes, visiting different recreational centres and roaming around with their families and children.
Thousands of visitors were seen thronging Mirpur National Zoo, Shishu Mela, Fantasy Kingdom, Baldha Garden, Ahsan Manzil, Lalbagh Fort, Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban Chattar, National Mausoleum at Savar, Jamuna Future Park, Nandan Park and Hatirjheel.
