BOGURA, June 7, 2019 (BSS) – A bus driver was killed and 14 others injured
in a head-on collision between two buses on Bogura-Dhaka Highway in Dos mile
area under Sherpur upazila of the district on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Shahidul Islam, 35, bus driver of Mitali
Paribahan.
The accident occurred in the area around 11am when a Dhaka-bound passengers
bus collided head-on with Bogura-bound passengers bus, coming from opposite
direction, killing driver dead on the spot and 14 others injured, said
Humayun Ahmed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sherpur Police Station.
The injured were admitted to the Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College
and Hospital.
The body was kept at the hospital morgue, OC said.
