China to continue mutual cooperation with Bangladesh: envoy

DHAKA, June 3, 2019 (BSS) – Terming Bangladesh as one of the most important friendly countries to China, Chinese envoy in Dhaka Zhang Zuo today said mutual cooperation for bilateral interests of the two countries would be continued in future.

“Chinese development partnership with Bangladesh is being strengthened day by day. This development cooperation will continue in future,” the Chinese Ambassador told Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury at courtesy meeting at the latter’s office here.

He said boosting regional connection will bring economic prosperity to all the countries of this region.

In the meeting, JS Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin also termed the China as a real friend of Bangladesh and lauded the Chinese role in infrastructural development in Bangladesh.

Exchanging visits between the two countries’ members of parliament can add new dimension in the existing relation between the two countries, she said.

The Chinese envoy Zuo informed Dr Shirin that Vice President of National People’s Congress of China would visit Bangladesh soon.

Welcoming the decision of visiting Bangladesh, the Speaker assured of giving all-out assistant and cooperation during the visit of Vice President of National People’s Congress of China.

JS senior officials and Director of Chinese Embassy in Dhaka Zheng Tianzhuo were present in the meeting.
