RAJSHAHI, June 2, 2019 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in an anti-crime operation, detained three alleged drug-peddlers with 2,325 yaba tablets in the city yesterday.
The arrested persons were identified as Sohel Rana, 28, son of Abdul Latif, Sadiqul Islam, 24, son of Rafiqul Islam of Barorashia village and Sagar Ali, 24, son of Mustaque Ali of Doulatpur village under Shibgonj Upazila in Chapainawabganj district.
On a tip-off, the RAB conducted the drive at Microbus stand of Islami Bank Medical College and Hospital in Nawdapara area under Shahmukhdum Police Station with the huge contraband items red-handed at around 5.30 pm.
A case was recorded with the police station concerned and the arrested persons were handed over to police.
