Holy Shab-e-Qadr observed in Rangpur

RANGPUR, June 02, 2019 (BSS) – The Muslim devotees observed the holy night
of Shab-e-Qadr in the city and across the district with due religious
rituals, gaiety and solemnity last night.

The Muslims believe the most important night of Shab-e-Qadr bears huge
importance when Almighty Allah sent the Holy Qur’an as a full code of conduct
for the humankind on earth on this night.

Olamaye-Kerams and Islamic scholars delivered lectures in special
discussions arranged at the mosques narrating spiritual significance of the
most sacred night and meaningful night of forgiveness, fortune, hopes and
aspirations.

The Musollis offered munajats seeking divine blessings for forgiveness of
sins and long life, peace, progress, sound health and happiness for them,
their families, relatives and eternal peace for souls of their departed
parents and generations.

Most of the mosques were specially illuminated, milad mahfils, `zikrs’
were organised and `tobaraks’ distributed both in the city, urban and rural
areas and important places in all eight upazilas of the district.

Musollis stayed for whole night at mosques, offered `nafl’ prayers and
recited from the holy Qur’an and `ziarats’ at graveyards of their forefathers
and departed relatives, friends and nearer and dearer ones, sought
forgiveness and eternal peace for all till Fazr prayers.

The Keramotia Jam-e-Mosque, Nasirabad Ekramia Jam-e-Mosque, Khasbag Jam-e-
Mosque, Satmatha Jam-e-Mosque, Jamtola Jam- e- Mosque, Dhap Jam-e-Mosque,
Central Bus Terminal Jam-e-Mosque, Katchari Bazaar Jam-e-Mosque, Kamal Kachna
Jam-e-Mosque and many other Mosques remained crowded with Muslim devotees who
stayed there for the whole night and offered ‘nafl’ prayers.

Imams and Khatibs conducted special munajats seeking divine blessings and
kindness for continuous peace, prosperity, success, development and well-
being of the country and its people, humanity and the Muslim Ummah.
