BGB recovers over 5 lakh yaba tablets in Cox’s Bazar

COX’S BAZAR, June 01, 2019 (BSS) – Boarder Guard Bangladesh recovered 5.4 lakh pieces of yaba tablets from Naf River in Teknaf Upazila of the district early today.

Commander of BGB-2 Lieutenant Colonel Mohammod Foysal Hassan said, on information, they conducted a raid in Omarkhal of Naf River early in the morning. Sensing their presence, a group of drug traders, who were on a boat, fled the scene leaving the boat.

Searching the boat, BGB men found 5,40,000 yaba tablets. They recovered the tablets and destroyed those in the presence of the high officials of the Department of Narcotics Control.
