DNCRP realises Taka 7.23 lakh fine from 104 business houses
DHAKA, May 30, 2019 (BSS) – Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) has realized Taka 7.23 lakh as fine from 104 business establishments across the country on the charges of different offences.
DNCRP inspected different markets and fined the business establishments in the capital, Chattogtram city, Rangpur, Noakhali, Manikganj, Kishoreganj, Sirajganj, Tangail, Cox’s Bazar, Rajbari, Barishal, Gopalganj, Cumilla, Jashore, Jhenaidah, Khulna, Faridpur, Madaripur, Rajshahi, Magura, Feni, Kurigram, Kushtia and Patuakhali, a press release said here today.
In a drive in the city, DNCRP fined Hallo Fried Chicken Taka 20,000, Indian Shahi Masla Taka 20,000, Maks Cosmetics Taka 10,000, Burmese Jams Taka 10,000, Korean Cuisine Taka 20,000, Dosa King Taka 30,000, Sharma House Taka 30,000, Indian Darber Taka 20,000, Spice Fried Chicken Taka 50,000, BFC Taka 20,000, India Spicy Taka 30,000, Spice Fried Chicken Taka 30,000, Alanker Niketan Taka 10,000, Modern Pearls Palace Taka 10,000, Sangini Diamond Taka 10,000, SI Enterprise Taka 30,000, Sesh Darshan Ajmeri Gems House Taka 50,000 and Dhakaiya Taka 20,000 for different offences.
In another drive, the DNCRP fined seven business establishments Taka 6,500 in the city’s Mohammadpur area for selling products without showing maximum retail price (MRP) on the packets.
In other drives, DNCRP fined 85 business entities Taka 2,92,300 in different charges across the country.
The DNCRP also panelized another business establishment Taka 5,000 for not selling products properly.
