Drug peddler sentenced to life imprisonment
DHAKA, May 29, 2019 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today sentenced a drug peddler
to life imprisonment and fined Taka 10 thousand.
Judge Dr Sheikh Golam Mahbub of Dhaka special judge court-6 passed the
order in presence of the convict Sohel.
Police detained Sohel from Rishipara area under Kadamtali Police Station
on June 28, 2017, and seized 80 grams of heroin from his possession.
Police filed the case under narcotics control act and filed charge sheet
on June 31, 2017. The court on November 16, 2016, framed charges against
Sohel and today came up with the judgment after examining five of the total
eight witnesses.
