JHENIDAH, May 29, 2019 (BSS) – Two people were killed as a microbus hit them in Porahati area under Sadar upazila of the district today.
The deceased were identified as Taslima Khatun, 15, resident of Porahati village and Emamul Hossain, 21, an inhabitant of Ghoramara village under the upazila.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhenidah Sadar Thana Mizanur Rahman Khan said the accident occurred when a microbus hit schoolgirl Taslima and bicycle rider Emamul on the Jhenidah-Magura Highway in the area as its driver lost control over the steering.
Emamul and Taslima were taken to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital where the on-duty
doctors declared them dead.
Police seized the microbus and a case was filed in this connection.
