4 suspected robbers killed in Bagerhat gunfight
BAGERHAT, May 29, 2019 (BSS) – Four suspected robbers were killed in a
gunfight with members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at Jongra Khal in the
Sundarbans under Chandpai range in the district last night.
One of the deceased was identified as Hasan, chief of Hasan Bahini, while
the identities of others could not be known immediately.
Tipped off, a team of RAB conducted a drive in the area around 12am, said
RAB.
Sensing presence of the elite force members, the members of infamous
robber gang ‘Hasan Bahini’ opened fire on RAB men, forcing them to fire back.
Later, RAB recovered four dead bodies including the chief of ‘Hasan
Bahini’ Hasan from the spot, RAB added.
RAB also recovered 10 firearms and bullets from the spot.
