Court sends yaba peddler to jail
DHAKA, May 28, 2019 (BSS)- A Dhaka court today sent a person, held earlier
with 3,403 pieces of yaba tablets from Shahjalal International Airport area,
to jail.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury passed the order as police
produced Moksedul Hawlader, 26, before the court and pleaded to keep him
behind bars till the completion of probe.
Airport Armed Police Battalion members detained Hawlader from outside the
domestic terminal of the airport on May 27 as he was walking there
suspiciously. Police searched his bag and found the yaba tablets worth about
Taka 16.5 lakh.
A case was filed with Airport Police Station in this regard.
