CHATTOGRAM, May 28, 2019 (BSS) – A woman was killed and 15 others wereinjured in a road accident in Barotakia area on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway under Mirsharai upazila of the district today.
The deceased was identified as Setara Akhter, 35, of Podua village in the
upazila.
Police said the accident occurred when a passengers’ bus overturned in the
area as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving pedestrian Setara
dead on the spot.
Police and Fire Service and Civil Defence members rushed to the spot,
recovered the wounded and sent them to nearby hospitals.
Station Officer of Mirsharai Fire Service Rabiul Azam Rabin confirmed the
incident.
