JAMALPUR, May 28, 2019 (BSS) – Safe Motherhood Day was observed in the district today as part of the nationwide programme aiming to establish fundamental rights of womenfolk.
District Civil Surgeon office has taken an elaborate programme to mark the
day.
This year’s theme of the day is “Dignity and Right: Pledge to Midwife
Service at Health Centers”.
A rally was brought out from Jamalpur Genral Hospital premises and it
ended parading different city streets.
Following the rally, a discussion was held in Dr Nazrul Islam conference
room of District Civil Surgeon office.
Physicians, representatives of different government and non-government
organizations, among others, addressed the discussion with Civil Surgeon Dr
Gautom Roy in the chair.
