Two more bank officials testify in graft case against Moudud

DHAKA, May 27, 2019 (BSS) – Two more bank officials have testified in
the case filed against BNP leader Barrister Moudud Ahmed for amassing illegal
wealth and concealing statement about his assets today.

The witnesses are assistant officer Abu Naser and staff officer Golam
Sarwar of Motijheel branch of IFIC Bank. They submitted their testimonies and
were cross-examined after that by the defence.

Judge Dr Sheikh Golam Mahbub of Dhaka Special Judge Court-6 then set May
June 13 for holding further hearing in the case against the former law
minister.

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on September 16, 2007, filed the case
with Gulshan Police Station for amassing illegal wealth of Taka 7.38 crore
and concealing statement about wealth of Taka 4.40 crore.

The ACC on May 14, 2008, submitted charge sheet against Moudud in the
case and the court on June 21, 2017, framed charges against him.
