Student stabbed to death in Chakaria
COX’S BAZAR, May 26, 2019 (BSS) – A school student was stabbed to death allegedly by muggers in front of a market in Chakaria municipality area last night.
Police said the deceased was identified as Anas Ibrahim, 17, son of Naser Ahmed of Chakaria municipality area. Anas passed SSC examinations this year from Chakaria Central High School and was preparing for college admission.
Officer-in-Charge of Chakaria thana Md. Habibur Rahman said the incident took place in front of Western Market at around 10:30 pm when Anas was waiting for a bus on way to home.
Five to six miscreants stabbed him and fled the scene, the OC added.
Anas was brought to Chakaria Upazila Health Complex in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries on way to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
Chakaria thana police held four youths in this connection.
