Five fraudsters arrested in city
DHAKA, May 26, 2019 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested five members of a gang involved in fraud from city’s Darus Salam area last night.
The arrestees are – head of the gang Md Barek Sarker alias Hazi Barek, 36, Md Habibur Rahman, 24, Md Jakir Hossain, 58, Md Aktaruzzaman, 28, and Md Shahriar Tasin, 19.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB-4 conducted a drive in Darus Salam area around 2 am and arrested them,” Senior Assistant Director of RAB Legal Aid and Media Wing Md Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan told BSS.
The RAB recovered one foreign pistol, one magazine and two rounds of bullet from the possession of Barek Sarker, he said.
Legal action will be taken against them, he added.
