Rating Chess tournament begins
DHAKA, May 23, 2019 (BSS) – The International Rating Chess Tournament has begun from today (Thursday) at the chess federation hall-room of National Sports Council.
A total of 114 players from Bangladesh and India including IM Mohammad Minhaz Uddin, FM Khandaker Aminul Islam, FM Shiekh Nasir Ahmed, FM Mehdi hasan Parag, FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman, FM Mohammad Javed, Indian Sambarta Benarjee, Soumik Datta, Aneek Das, Arijit Mukharjee are participating in the event.
The event is being held in 8 round Swiss-League system. Cash prize of Taka one lac fifty thousand will be given to winners.
The 2nd round games will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 10 am at same venue.
