DHAKA, May 23, 2019 (BSS) – Engineer Iqbal Mahmud joined as the new
Managing Director of Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) on
May 20, said a BTCL press release today.
Mahmud joined the service at the then BTTB as Assistant Divisional
Engineer under Telecom Cadre. He is an official of BCS 1985 Batch and Joint
Secretary of Bangladesh Government.
Born in Kushtia, Iqbal Mahmud passed SSC examination in 1975, HSC
examination in 1977 and completed graduation in Electrical and Electronics
Engineering from BUET in 1983. He also obtained MBA from IBA of Dhaka
University in 1988 and Applied Information Technology from Southern Alberta
Institute of Technology of Canada in 1999.
