DHAKA, May 22, 2019 (BSS) – Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim here today said people who were involved in fraudulent and irregularity in building the FR Tower in Banani will be brought to justice.
He said this at a press conference at the Secretariat Conference Room on the disclosure of the probe report for FR Tower fire incident.
Rezaul Karim said the findings of the probe report showed that top officials of Rajuk, including former chairmen and inspectors, were involved in irregularities in the construction of FR Tower in Banani. All who were involved in fraudulence directly and indirectly would be brought to justice, the minister added.
The minister also said that they were working for breaking the illegal segments of FR Tower. The segment above 18 stories is illegal, he added.
Secretary for Housing and Public Works Ministry Md Shahid Ulla Khandoker, Additional Secretary Md Yakub Ali Patwari and Engineer Kazi Golam Nasir were present at the press conference.
