International Rating Chess inaugurated
DHAKA, May 22, 2019 (BSS)-The International Rating Chess tournament was
inaugurated today (Wednesday) at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room of
National Sports Council old building.
FM Iqbal Bin Anwar (Dawn), executive director of WALTON Group and head of
games and sports, formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest while WCM
Mahmuda Hoque Chowdhury Moly was present as the special guest.
Maniruzzaman Palash, joint secretary of Bangladesh Chess Federation,
Masudur Rahman Mallik, joint secretary of Bangladesh Chess Federation and M
Haroon Or Rashid chief arbiter of the event were also present at the
inauguration ceremony.
K M Shahidullah, vice president of Bangladesh Chess Federation and
chairman of the tournament committee presided over the opening ceremony.
Organised by Bangladesh Chess Federation, the tournament is an open event
for all chess players. The event will be held in 8 round Swiss-League system
and cash prize money will be given to the winners.
