SHARIATPUR, May 22, 2019 (BSS) – A total of 145 families of two villages in Bhederganj upazila here were brought under rural electrification network by Shariatpur Palli Bidyut Samity today.
Deputy Minister for Water Resources Ministry AKM Enamul Haque Shamim inaugurated the power line, constructed at a cost of Taka 30 lakh.
On the occasion, a simple function was held at Mal Bazar Eidgaon field
under Shokhipur union.
Later, Enamul Haque Shamim distributed clothes among 2,000 poor families
in Mal Bazar Eidgaon field and Abbas Ali High School field in Shokhipur on
behalf of Bangladesh Awami League.
Earlier, the minister inaugurated Shokhipur-Chandpur Ferry Ghat Road,
constructed of Taka three crore.
Among others, Bhederganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Sabbir Ahmed, Upazila
Parishad Chairman Md Humayun Kobir Mollah and Shokhipur Thana AL Secretary
Atikur Rahman Manik and other local leaders of Awami League, Juba League and
Chhatra League were present.
