Govt providing more facilities to challenged persons: Deputy Speaker
DHAKA, MAY 21, 2019 (BSS) – Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Md Fazle
Rabbi Miah today said the provided fund allotment and increased facilities
for the persons with disabilities have proved that the government of Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina is generous towards them.
“The activities of the Social Welfare Ministry and National fund for
persons with disabilities has expanded as the government is providing the
person with special needs with funds and other required facilities,” he said.
He was addressing a seminar titled ‘The workshop on the Employment
Situation and Development in Bangladesh for the Persons with Intellectual
Disabilities’ at the SWID Bangladesh auditorium here.
“The praiseworthy contribution of Prime Minister and her daughter Saima
Wazed Putul towards the welfare of autistic children has ensured security and
betterment of their life. They are no longer lagging behind because of their
challenges,” he added.
The deputy speaker mentioned that the government is working to make the
challenged persons competent to work through training and urged the
development programme officials, lawmakers and specialists to include them in
the development process to so that they can contribute to development of the
country.
