One held with phensidyl in C’nawabanj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, May 21, 2019 (BSS)- Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested an alleged drug smuggler with 600 bottles of Indian phensidyl from frontier 19 bigha area in Shibganj upazila of the district this afternoon.
The arrested was identified as Md. Ruhul Amin, 36, hailed from Upachakpara village under Shibganj upazila.
BGB said, acting on a tip-off, a patrol team of 59 battalion of BGB from Ajmatpur border out post raided the aforesaid area around 2.20pm and arrested Ruhul Amin with the bottles of phensidyl but four smugglers managed to flee away.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to Shibganj thana police.
A case was filed.
