Govt working for eliminating poverty: Khasru
NETRAKONA, May 19, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for fisheries and livestock
Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru today said the government has taken various safety-net
programmes for eliminating poverty in the country.
“We are implementing various development programmes for lifting the people
out of poverty,” he made the comments while distributing CI-Sheets and bank
cheques among the poverty-stricken people in the conference room of Netrakona
Sadar upazila parishad.
Netrakona Sadar upazila parishad arranged the function for distributing 113
bundles of CI-Sheets and bank cheques amounting to Taka three lakh and thirty
nine thousand among the poor people.
Chaired by upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Netrakona Sumonara Mojid, the
function was addressed, among others, by chairman of Netrakona Sadar upazila
parishad professor Tafsiruddin Khan and chairman of Medni union parishad
Zillur Rahman Numan.
