Woman killed, 5 injured in city mishap
DHAKA, May 18, 2019 (BSS) – A woman was killed and five of her family members were injured as their ride sharing car collided with a private car at Bata Signal intersection of Elephant Road in the city early today.
The deceased was identified as Fulbibi, 55, wife of Abul Kalam, hailed from Barisal district.
The accident took place when an Uber car, carrying six people of a family, hit a private car in the area around 7.25 am as they were overtaking each other with full speed, leaving all Uber’s passengers injured, officer-in-charge (OC) of New Market Police Station Atiqul Islam told BSS.
The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctor declared Fulbibi dead.
