Boy drowns in Ctg
CHATTOGRAM, May 18, 2019 (BSS) – A nine-year old boy drowned in a pond at
Bishaw colony of Akbarshah thana in the city today.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Rasel, 09, son of Mohammad Noyon,
hailed from city’s Bishaw colony area.
Quoting the victim’s relatives, Alauddin Talukder, assistant sub-inspector
of Chattogram Medical College Police (CMCH) outposts, said the incident
happened while Rasel was taking bath in the pond around 11 am.
Divers of Fire Service recovered the body from the pond around 11.30am
after a frantic search.
Rasel was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the
duty doctors declared him dead.
Later, the body was handed over to his family, Alauddin Talukder added.
