Five players share lead after 3rd round in national junior chess
DHAKA, May 17, 2019 (BSS)- Five players are sharing leads in the points table with maximum 3 points each after 3rd round games in the Open section of WALTON 39th National Junior (Under-20) Chess Championships-2019, Open and Girls is now being held at Chess Federation hall-room.
They are FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman, CM Subrota Biswas, Swarnavo Chowdhury, Sajidul Haque and Anower Hossain.
Three players are sharing 2nd position with 2.5 points each. They are Nayem Haque, Amit Bikram Roy and Sadnan Hasan Dihan.
WCM Noshin Anjum and Ahmed Walijah are jointly leads in the points table with maximum 3points each after 3rd round in girls section. Shanjida Shakib is in 2nd position with 2.5 points.
In the day’s 3rd round games of both sections were held on today (Friday), in Open section FM Fahad beat Nafim Al Karin, CM Subrota beat Mahin Ahmed Shuvo, Swarnavo beat Nur Newaz Oyon, Sajid got walk-over against Dibakar Dibya, Anower beat Md. Rashedujjaman Rakib, Dihan beat Rayhan Islam and Amit drew with Nayem.
In girls section, WCM Noshin beat Kazi Zarin Tasnim, Walijah beat Warsia Khusbu, Jannatul Ferdousi drew with Nusrat Jahan Moni and Shanjida Shakib beat Nusrat Jahan Alo.
The 4th round games will start tomorrow (Saturday) from 2 PM at same venue.
