ARREST-HUMAN-TRAFFICKERS
3 human traffickers involved in Mediterranean Sea incident held
DHAKA, May 17, 2019 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today detained
three members of a human trafficking gang involved with the boat capsize
incident in the Mediterranean Sea on May 9 from different parts of the city.
“They were detained after raiding different areas of Abdullahpur, Khilkhet
and Airport in the capital,” Senior Assistant Director of RAB (Legal and
Media Wing) Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan confirmed the news to BSS this afternoon.
He said the arrested are identified as Md Akkach Matubbar, 39, Md Abdur
Razzak Bhuiyan, 34, and Anamul Haque Talukdar, 46.
They are the members of human trafficking gang who have very close link
with the international human trafficking gang, he added.
A legal action is underway in this connection.
