Road accident kills two in Tangail
TANGAIL, May 16, 2019 (BSS) – Two people were killed in two separate road
accidents in Mirzapur upazila of the district today.
One of the deceased was identified as Sheuli Begum, 40, hailed from
Mamudpur village while another could not be identified.
Police said Sheuli died as a covered van crushed her in Pakullah Bus Stand
area around 11 am on Dhaka-Tangail Highway. Sheuli died on the spot. Her
daughter Sumona was injured in the accident. Police seized the covered van.
Besides, the unidentified man aged around 50 died in Gorai area in
Mirzapur as a vehicle crushed him early today. He was taken to Kumudini
Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, said Highway police.
