Farhad for creating more skilled human resources
MEHERPUR, May 16, 2019 (BSS) – The State Minister for Public
Administration Farhad Hossain here today underscored the need for creating
more skilled human resources for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs).
The minister observed that specific steps are needed to turn the
population of the country into human resources for achieving SDGs within
stipulated timeframe as human resource helps directly to remove the economic
backwardness and increases labour mobility from which the executing resources
can be made more productivity.
The minister also said it is hard to achieve SDGs goals by 2030 without
making the huge population of the country into human resources.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a workshop on Sustainable Development
Goals at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner in the district town.
The minister also put emphasis on employment, quality education and urgent
steps to combat the adverse impact of climate change for attaining the SDGs.
With Deputy Commissioner Md Ataul Goni in the chair, the function was
attended by Police Super Mohammod Mostafizur Rahman, Deputy Director of the
Department of Agricultural Extension Dr. Md Akteruzzaman, Additional Deputy
Commissioner Md Towfiqur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Ebadot
Hossain, Assistant Commissioner Rakibul Islam and Mujibnagor Upazila Nirbahi
Officer Nahida Akter.
At the function, the minister also unwrapped the cover of a book named
‘Joyjatra’ published by Meherpur District Administration on Mujibnagar Day
2019.
