Chinese company keen to invest in logistics sector of Bangladesh

DHAKA, May 16, 2019 (BSS) – Yunnan-based Chinese company, Yunnan Bosan Henji Industry Group, has shown interest to invest in the country’s logistics sector.

A delegation of the Chinese company, led by its chairman Duan Zekui, today expressed their interest while meeting with Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Kazi M Aminul Islam at its headquarters in the city, said a press release.

Duan Zekui said Bangladesh is a very good friend of China and the recent development of the country’s different sectors, including communication, infrastructure and ICT, has opened the investment opportunities in Bangladesh.

Duan Zekui informed that the ‘Yunnan Bosan Henji Industry Group’ established in 1999 and the company is investing in a total of eight sectors -mining, real estate, hydro power, finance and banking, logistics, environment-friendly agriculture, health services and smart city.

During the meeting, Aminul Islam said the investment of logistics sector is very essential as the country’s economy is moving forward.

He said the investment-friendly government and low labour cost are making the country an investment hub.
