DHAKA, May 15, 2019 (BSS)- Bangladesh bowls against hosts Ireland in their
last group match of the tri-series tournament after Ireland captain William
Porterfield won the toss and elected to bat first at the Clontarf Cricket
Club Ground in Dublin today.

The game turned out to be dead rubber after Bangladesh and West Indies
confirmed the final, slated to be held on Friday, making Ireland a mere
spectator at their home.

Despite being a dead rubber, Bangladesh refused to be relaxed with the ICC
Cricket World Cup approaching fast.

However, Bangladesh made four changes to the squad to give some players a
game time ahead of the World Cup. They have rested Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad
Mithun, Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mustafizur Rahman and have brought in Liton
Das to open with Tamim Iqbal as well as Mosaddek Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin
and Rubel Hossain.

Saifuddin returned from a back spasm, he sustained before Bangladesh’s
previous match against West Indies.

Bangladesh won their both of the games against West Indies in comprehensive
manner while their first match against Ireland was washed out without a ball
being bowled due to heavy rain.

They, however, aim to win the reverse fixture against Ireland to keep them
unbeaten ahead of the final.

West Indies won their both of the games against Ireland but proved them to
be no match for Bangladesh so far.
