Hasan urges information cadre to reach dev news to people
DHAKA, May 14, 2019 (BSS) – Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today
urged the information cadre officials to work for reaching the country’s
development news to the people at grassroots level.
“The country has witnessed significant change in the past 10 years of the
government . . . I think your (information officials) role is very important
in reaching the government’s development information to the people,” the
minister said.
Addressing an iftar mahfil organized by BCS Information Association at the
Information Complex here, the minister said the country turned into a middle
income country during the period.
“Bangladesh now became a food surplus country from a food deficit one,”
Hasan said.
Information Secretary Abdul Malek also addressed the function chaired by
BCS Information Association President and Secretary of Women and Children
Affairs Ministry Kamrun Nahar.
Department of Films and Publications (DFP) Director General (DG) Mohammad
Ishtaque Hossain, Principal Information Officer Md Joynal Abedin, BTV DG SM
Haroon-or-Rashid and National Institute of Mass Communication (NIMCO) DG
Shahin Islam joined the function, among others.
