Internal food grains procurement begins in Natore
NATORE, May 13, 2019 (BSS) – The government has launched internal procurement of paddy, rice and wheat here today.
Local parliament member General Secretary of district unit of Awami League Md. Shafiqul Islam Shimul inaugurated the procurement at local district silo ground.
District Food Controller Shafiqul Islam and joint secretary of district Awami League Syed Mortaza Babul were present.
The is year the government has set target to buy 655 tonnes of wheat at the rate of Taka 28 each, 2,115 tonnes paddy at Taka 26 and 14,206 tonnes of boiled rice at Taka 36 and 540 tonnes of atap chal at Taka 35.
Procurement of wheat and rice would continue till June 30 and August 31 respectively.
