PM returns home from London

DHAKA, May 11, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home from London this morning concluding her 10-day official visit to the United Kingdom (UK).

A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the prime minister and her entourage members landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here at 9:55am.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Agriculture Minister Dr. Md Abdur Razzaque, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq, Finance Minister A.H.M. Mustafa Kamal, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Karim, PM’s Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Affairs Adviser Dr. Tawfiq-e- Elahi Chowdhury, Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury Liton, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali, Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam, PM’s Principal Secretary Md Nojibur Rahman and high civil and military officials were present at the airport to receive the prime minister.

Earlier, the flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines took off from the Heathrow International Airport in London for Dhaka at 6:35 pm (local time) on Friday.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK Saida Muna Tasneem was present to see the prime minister off at the airport.

The premier went to London on May 1.

Earlier on Thursday, the prime minister attended a view-exchange meeting organised by the United Kingdom (UK) chapter of Bangladesh Awami League and its associate bodies at Taj Hotel in London.
