NOAKHALI, May 8, 2019 (BSS) – Three people were killed and 15 others injured as a bus fell into a roadside ditch in Chatkhil upazila of the district today.
The deceased were identified as Jafor Ahmed, 40, resident of Begumganj
upazila and Nurul Alom, 35, an inhabitant of Shonaimuri upazila. Identity of
the other deceased could not be known.
Officer-in-Charge of Chatkhil police station Anwarul Islam said the
accident occurred in Munshir Rastar Matha area at around 9:45 am when the
driver of the bus lost control over the steering and fell down, leaving three
passengers dead on the spot and 15 others injured.
The bodies were sent to Noakhali General Hospital morgue. The injured were
admitted to Chatkhil Upazila Health Complex.
