Sale of hygienic Iftar begins in Rangpur city

RANGPUR, May 07, 2019 (BSS) – Sale of hygienic and pure Iftar items began in the divisional city today for the holy month of Ramadan at twenty-one reputed hotels and restaurants.

Additional Police Commissioner of Rangpur Metropolitan Police Abu Sufian inaugurated selling of hygienic Iftar items by cutting ribbon at a function followed by discussion arranged on ‘Kosturi Restaurant’ premises in the city as the chief guest.

Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and District Hotel and Restaurant Owners’ Association (DHROA) jointly took the initiative and completed preparations for selling pure and hygienic Iftar item at twenty-one
selling centres in the city.

Presided over by Acting President of RCCI Mostoba Hossain Ripon, its
Director Zulfiquer Ali Khan Bhutto and DHROA President Abdul Mazid Khokan
addressed the events.

RCCI Directors Reaz Shaheed Shovan, Obaidur Rahman Ratan, Amjad Hossain
Chowdhury and former Director Akbar Ali, Proprietor of ‘Kosturi Restaurant’
Aiyub Ali Sarker, owners of hotels and restaurants were present.

Earlier, the RCCI authority distributed necessary materials, aprons,
caps, hand gloves, price lists and certified festoons among owners of twenty-
one pure and hygienic Iftar selling centres to properly implement the
intuitive.

Under the initiative, RCCI motivated owners of these twenty-one major
hotels and restaurants of the city for preparing, selling and packaging of
the pure and hygienic Iftar items.

The chief guest lauded the RCCI and DHROA authorities for taking the
noble initiative on greater interests of public health and put importance on
coordinated efforts of all concerned to make the city free from adulterated
foods.

Talking to BSS, common consumers Abdur Rahman, Yasmin Islam and many
others appreciated the initiative of selling pure and hygienic Iftar items
during the month of Ramadan at twenty-one reputed hotels and restaurants of
the city.

Meanwhile, hundreds of people thronged the pure and hygienic Iftar
selling centres here since this afternoon on first day of the holy Ramadan
month to purchase their Iftar items of own choice at fair prices.
