LONDON, May 7, 2019 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, now in London, has offered condolences to Russia over the casualties in a Russian plane crash in Moscow.

In a condolence message to Russian Federation Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the premier said: “I am deeply shocked to learn about the tragic accident of a Russian passenger aircraft which resulted in demise of many passengers.”

“In this hour of grief, on behalf of the government and the people of Bangladesh and on my own behalf, I wish to convey my deepest condolences to the Government and the friendly people of the Russian Federation, particularly to the bereaved families of the victims of this tragic accident,” Sheikh Hasina said.

The prime minister wished a fast recovery to the injured people.

Forty-one people, including at least two children, died after a Russian passenger plane made an emergency landing and erupted in a huge ball of fire and black smoke at Moscow’s busiest airport on Sunday, media reports said.
