DHAKA, May 6, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Religious Affairs Advocate
Sheikh M Abdullah today urged all to maintain sanctity of Ramadan.
The state minister came up with this call while he was addressing a pre-
rally function to welcome holy Ramadan at the South gate of Baitul Mukarram
National Mosque this morning, said a press release here.
“As per the instruction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we have to take
all out preparation to contain the price hike of the essentials. We will also
take steps against terrorism, militancy and drugs in order to maintain the
sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan,” said the state minister.
Islamic Foundation has chalked out a month-long programme including
religious function, discussion meeting, Iftar mahfil and Islamic book fair to
mark the holy Ramadan, he added.
Afterwards, a rally welcoming the holy Ramadan was brought out from Baitul
Mokarram Mosque which paraded different city thoroughfares.
