Archery World Cup stage-2 begins tomorrow in Shanghai

DHAKA, May 6, 2019 (BSS) – The Bangladesh men’s and women’s archery team will take part

in the Archery World Cup stage-2 which is set to begin from tomorrow (Tuesday) in

Shanghai, China.

Yuanshen stadium (qualifications) and Lujiazui Park (finals) in Pudong are the two

venues of this mega event.

A total of 295 athletes from 38 countries (99 recurve men, 76 recurve women, 65

compound men, 55 compound women) will take part in the Archery World Cup.

Bangladesh will compete in recurve and compound division which will be held in ranking

and elimination round.

The recurve division includes men’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles and mixed

doubles while the compound division includes men’s singles, women’s singles and mix

doubles.
City Group is the main patron of the Bangladesh archery team while National Sports

Council is the co-patron.

Earlier, on Saturday, the Bangladesh men’s and women’s archers’ team left for Shanghai

to take part in the Archery World Cup stage-2.

Bangladesh archery team: M Ruman Sana (archer-recurve men’s), M Tamimul Islam (archer-

recurve men’s), M Hakim Ahmed Rubel (archer-recurve men’s), M Imdadul Haque Milon

(archer-recurve men’s), Beauty Roy(archer-recurve women’s), Asim Kumar Das (archer-

compound men’s) and Susmita Bonik (archer-compound women’s).

Team officials: M Karul Islam (team manager), Martin Federic (coach) and M Ziaul Haque

(coach).
