JP will run as per Ershad’s instruction: GM Kader
DHAKA, May 5, 2019 (BSS) – Jatiya Party’s (JP) Acting Chairman GM Quader
said that as long as JP Chairman HM Ershad is alive, the party’s activities
will be carried out as per his directive.
“The party’s regular activities has come to a halt off late due to his
(Ershad’s) illness, that’s why he has appointed me as acting chairman of the
party,” he said at a press briefing at Jatiya Party chairman’s Banani office
this afternoon.
He said, “Holding the party’s council is our main task now. So
we all have to work together unitedly to make the party stronger.”
JP Joint Secretary General Shafiqul Islam Shafiq and Organizing
Secretaries Monirul Islam Milon as well as Shafiullah Shafi, among others,
were present on the occasion.
JP Chairman organized a press conference on Saturday
night and announced that his brother Quader will discharge the
responsibilities of the party in his absence saying “this decision will
fulfill the expectations of the JP men.”
