Bank official dies in city road accident
DHAKA, May 5, 2019 (BSS) – A motorcyclist, also a senior bank official,
was killed as a speedy bus knocked down his motorbike in front of Padma Oil
Pump Gate on airport road here today.
“The motorcyclist was identified as Mojamamel Haque, 46, a senior official
of Grameen Bank of Rupganj Branch, succumbed to his injuries at Women Medical
College Hospital after three hours of the accident,” officer-in-charge (OC)
of airport police station Md Noore Azam Mia told BSS this afternoon.
The OC said the incident occurred as airport-bound a passenger bus hit his
bike from back at about 11 am leaving him seriously injured.
Locals took him to hospital where doctor declared him dead at 2 pm.
Hailed from Bathuli village of Dhamrail, Haque was the father of three
sons.
A case was filed with Bimanbandar police station.
Police seized the killer vehicle, but the driver and other transport
workers of the bus fled away.
