Cyclone Feni forces change in U16 cricket schedule
DHAKA, May 4, 2019 (BSS) – The prevalent inclement weather due to the
effects of Cyclone Fani has forced a change in the itinerary of the Under-16
series between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
In consideration of the weather conditions, the Bangladesh Cricket Board
(BCB) today decided to revise the schedule for the second three-day match and
the first and second one-day at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium in Khulna, a BCB
press release said.
The second three-day match was scheduled to be held from May 5-7. It is
deferred one day to be held now from May 6-8. The first and second one-day
match between the two sides will now be held on May 11 and 13, instead of May
10 and 12.
However the series concluding third one-day will be held on May 15, as it
was scheduled.
Bangladesh Under-16 side beat their Pakistan counterpart by five wickets
in the first three-day match that was held from April 29-May 1, to take a 1-0
lead.
